Kinesio Taping

What is Kinesio Tape?

Kinesio tape is a cotton adhesive tape developed by Dr. Kase Kenzo in 1979 which helps the body heal while providing support and stability to both the muscles and the joints.  The tape can be used on its own or together with other manual treatment methods and has the advantage of not restricting movement as it is applied directly to the skin. The

tape gained popularity after it was seen being used by athletes at the Seoul Olympics in 1988.

How does Kinesio Tape work?
